We value diversity and God’s children without judgment. We welcome all persons regardless of race, sexual orientation or identity, immigration status, or other characteristics that may define cultural differences.
Highlands has been designated as a “Hunger Action Congregation” for its work to address the issue of hunger in our community.
-
Highlands provides thousands of dollars in food, clothing and other items to NEEDS, Inc. and Comea Homeless Shelter to support their work with low-income and homeless families.
-
We also provide financial support to St. Joseph's Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels and Comea Homeless Shelter.
-
Highlands is the “coffee partner” to Comea, donating hundreds of dollars in coffee to the homeless shelter each year as well as gloves, warm hats and other clothing.
